Default file path
This is at the top of the Chart File Manager window. This is the location where you will save future databases (*.zcf files). At the bottom is the new file name edit field for creating new database files. Database files can be saved to any location with the exception that Vista users have to save to non-secure zones. I recommend that you keep all of these files together. There is a manila folder attached to this edit field at the top that will allow you to browse to the location where you want to save files to.
Important: If you uninstall and reinstall, I recommend that you back up your .zcf files to a different location. The windows registry data which saves the location of these files will not be removed. If you do an uninstall and reinstall later without backing up your .zcf files to another location, you might lose that data. In the future I'm going to write a backup routine to automate this process which will automatically backup your files to an alternate location upon shut down.
If you don't want to back up the files, there is an alternative. Don't use any of the .zcf files that I created for you. Any files that you create yourself will not be removed by the uninstall.
