Confines
The confines are the colored sections just inside the Tick Wheel or Sign Wheel if visible. In medieval astrology these are called Terms of the signs where each sign has 5 sections ruled by the 5 visible planets. The Greek word is "hoiria" which is where we get our word for "horizon". Schmidt has also used the terms "limit" and "boundary" to describe these sections.
Valens also gave degrees to the Sun and Moon to make 7 divisions per sign. The selection here affects most areas of the program with the exception of Time Lord options (F5) on the Circumambulations Tab.
